Fit 'N' Fun Kids childcare and support services was established in 2001 by Rachel Jones. Mother of Oliver and Amy and a supporter of women in business, Rachel wanted to provide a unique childcare service that provided high quality childcare and associated services that would meet the needs of all families across Cornwall, a service that met the individual needs of every child, supported parents and be an employer that valued their staff.
At Fit 'N' Fun Kids we aim to offer children from three months to eleven years of age a unique childcare provision. Our work has, at its core, the aim of enabling children to develop their emotional, social, cognative, interpersonal and physical skills, and their desire to explore, discover and be creative.
We are committed to ensuring that children and families in our care learn about the benefits of healthy lifestyles. It is our belief that by sharing our knowledge and by providing healthy, nutritious and balanced snacks and meals, we will play a part in developing healthy behaviours, improve long term health and reduce health inequalities.
We are well known for our extensive commitment to supporting families and ensuring their are no barriers to accessing our services. We ensure all children can access care and education which encourages confidence, independence and enjoyment and through outreach Support Creches, we can deliver our customer promise to all throughout Cornwall.
We have looked closely at each principal of the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure our children are healthy and achieve at our settings, support creches, out of school care clubs and in life.
We value our parents opinions and have created a Parent Forum to ensure we really are meeting their needs, both for their children and themselves. By sharing our experiences and our knowledge of best practice, we believe this consulative and reflective approach ensures that we keep our customer promise of providing a service that meets the needs of our families... our door really is always open and we are always ready to listen.
We are fully aware that to provide a high quality childcare provision, our staff must also be highly qualified with continuous professional development. We are proud of our Gold Standard Investors in People accreditation, the only childcare organisation in Cornwall with IiP Gold.
We pride ourselves on our Core Values and our aim to exceed Ofsted regulations.
We can also go that one step further and support you in directing you to an Easier Life to help your hectic life to be a little smoother, allowing you more quality time with your family, whether it is providing tea at short notice for your little one if you are running late, finding a cleaner for your home, help with your child's party, finding you as babysitter, posting your letters, arranging for your washing to be collected, washed, ironed and returned, walking your dog, or providing a Support Creche for your Wedding or Special Event, we can help!
